Sheryn Johnson is a Saskatoon artist who paints in water colour and acrylics. Her paintings depict her appreciation of the beauty of the Saskatchewna landscape as well as various other places she has visited. She also enjoys doing florals, birds and occasionally people.
Sheryn grew up in Eastend, a lovely little town in the Cypress Hills. She taught school for several years, living in Kincaid, Swift Current, Cabri, Moose Jaw, and finally in Saskatoon.
She feels it is important to try to improve her art each year by experiencing different places and learning techniques from other artists, at the same time staying true to her own style. She has taken workshops at Emma Lake, Clear Lake in Manitoba, Donalda AB, Spirit Lake in the Yukon, France, Portual and Spain. You will notice, looking at her landscapes, that she focuses on realism as well as attempting to give a feeling for the beauty of that particular spot.
Her paintings are organized here into galleries for your viewing enjoyment. Just click on each gallery to see the ones in that group.
Sheryn is a member of the Prairie River Artists who meet two Saturdays a month at the Albert Community Centre on Clarence Ave. Sheryn also paints with the Mayfair Artists every Tuesday at Mayfair United Church from 10 am - 3 pm, September to May.
